Eric W. Will II- Background

Mr. Will comes from an old Syracuse, NY business family that owned a manufacturing company there for well over a century. Following its sale in the early 70’s he was with Xerox Corporation for several years before spending the next 30 in the equipment leasing and finance industry, the past fourteen as President and Owner of Rainier Funding Services, Inc. In November of 2000 he and a partner acquired the former Miller Brewery in Fulton, NY and renamed it “Riverview Business Park.” Part of the vision for the property was to retrofit the brewhouse into Northeast Biofuels—the largest ethanol manufacturing facility in the Northeast.

As a result of his involvement with Northeast Biofuels, Mr. Will was invited to join and is an active member of the planning committee for the new Syracuse Center of Excellence, a state-funded initiative, whose mission is centered on research in the renewable energy sector. He also collaborates regularly with the State University of New York’s Environmental Science and Forestry College (ESF), located on the campus of Syracuse University, which is actively engaged in R&D relating to renewable fuels and pursuing strategies for their commercialization.

Mr. Will is a member of the Metropolitan Development Association of Central New York and serves on the boards of the Hiawatha Seaway Council, Boy Scouts of America the ESF Foundation and the Hospice Foundation of Central New York.
